Benazir Bhutto Assasinated

I am sorry at my words in one of my post earlier with the title "Benazir Hateable", I didnt meant it that way as it has occured. I really condemn this act of terror. Who ever have done this should be punished.

Country mourns over the assassination of the first woman leader of the nation in a suicidal terrorist attack. The attacker fired at her vehicle as she left a political rally, The Associated Press reported, and then blew himself up, killing at least a dozen other people. At 6:16 p.m. she expired. She was the first upfront lady of the country. In October i’ve written a post about her to Go away as our people are losing the lives because of her but unfortunately today she left me thinking about my view. I am still confused, still my mind is boggling about it. All in all, she should’nt deserved to be deceased in this way.

According to The News Thirty persons including Chairperson, Pakistan Peoples Party, Ms Benazir Bhutto were killed and several others injured in an attack here outside Liaquat Bagh,(where first Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan was also assassinated) Rawaplpindi on Thursday.

Girl with 8 Limbs: Lakshmi Tatma

Lakshmi Tatma is just two years old but she was born with 8 limbs. This is surely an abnormal feature and it has attracted media attention worldwide. Doctors are carrying out a very complicated surgery in her body to make her condition normal.

They were offered handsome amount of money if they agreed to sell their daughter in a circus. They did not sell their daughter and instead they tried to take care of her in the best possible way despite the fact that Lakshmi Tatma had little possibility of having any normal life in future.

Musharraf imposed emergency in Pakistan

Our dear President Musharraf, finally have imposed Emergency in Pakistan. At 11:45 he addressed the nation stabilizing the nation aggressiveness. Detailing the consequences and his strategies about it as well all attributes to follow during this emergency in background of all supreme court decisions, Islamabad crisis, and the most recently sawat dis stability.

Seven Supreme Court judges immediately rejected the emergency, which
suspended the current constitution. The government blocked transmissions of
private news channels in several cities and telephone services in the capital,
Islamabad, were cut.

"The Chief of Army Staff has proclaimed a state of emergency and issued a
provisional constitutional order," a newscaster on state Pakistan TV said.

It gave no reason for the emergency but it follows weeks of speculation that the military leader, who took power in 1999 coup and later made Pakistan a US ally in its war on terror, could take that step.

Former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, a long-time rival of Musharraf who has been negotiating with the President about forming a pro-Western political alliance, announced her return to Pakistan from Dubai.

Rehman Chishti, an advisor to Benazir, said she was "absolutely shocked" by the state of emergency and would leave Dubai — where she was visiting family after surviving an assassination attempt on October 18 — and would immediately return to Pakistan.

"Benazir Bhutto is on her way and she will be in Pakistan to be with the people of Pakistan and to challenge Gen Musharraf," Chishti told British Broadcasting Corp television.

Military vehicles patrolled and troops blocked roads in the administrative
heart of the capital. Police barred the doors to the Supreme Court decision,
with the judges believed inside.

The US and other Western allies urged Musharraf this week not to declare
martial law or an emergency that would jeopardise the country's transition to
democracy. Crucial parliamentary elections meant to restore civilian rule are
due by January.

The emergency was expected to be followed by arrests of lawyers and other
perceived opponents of the government, including civil society activists and
possibly even members of the judiciary itself, a ruling party lawmaker said on
condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue.

Private Geo TV reported that the president of the Supreme Court Bar
Association, Aitzaz Ahsan, had been arrested. He was a lawyer for Chief Justice
Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, whom Musharraf tried and failed to oust this spring,
sparking a popular movement against military rule.

Geo TV also reported that the Chief Justice had been told that "his services
were no longer required."

As phones were not working, it was not possible to contact government
spokesmen for confirmation.

During previous emergencies in Pakistan, a provisional constitutional order
has led to the suspension of some basic rights of citizens and for judges to
take a fresh oath of office.

"This is the most condemnable act," said Ahsan Iqbal, a spokesman for the
Opposition Pakistan Muslim League -N of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Musharraf barred Sharif from returning to Pakistan from exile in September to
mount a campaign against military rule.

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky
with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the
kitchen table reading his Quran. His grandson wanted to be just like him
and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, "Grandpa! I try to read the Quran just like
you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Quran do?" The Grandfather
quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal
basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water. “The boy did
as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the
house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little
faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try
again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before
he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was
impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.
The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water.

You're just not trying hard enough" and he went out the door to watch the
boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his
grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak
out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into
river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, "See Grandpa, it's useless!" "So you think
it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket. "The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and
out. "Son, that's what happens when you read the Quran. You might not
understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives."

Sidney Sheldon’s Bloodline

Today I didn’t slept because I was reading Sidney Sheldon’s bloodline. It comprises of two books I & II but I got them as one. It was my first novel from Sidney’s collection. No body recommended but a classmate of mine chose him to as to spend vacations with his novels. She mentioned me several times but I wasn’t interested to get one of his. But day before yesterday I decided to read one that she had started recently.

First impression is the lat impression proved wrong here. As I opened the book I got a glimpse of this.

The physician will carefully prepare a mixture of crocodiles’ dung, lizard flesh, bat’s blodd and camels’ spit…

Egypt and his ancient civilization has always impressed me, so as this book will certainly have something for me and at the end of 3^rd chapter I found myself in realm of suspense Mr. Sheldon was popular for. Story progressed, characters profiled in detail; their sexual lives were extraordinarily scribbled by the writer that may think a reader as he is watching a movie instead of reading a novel. Suspense and feelings of love and lust for money was quite rich in middle and late middle part of story but as soon as this get over these all vanished to end up as ending was done by an amateur. However, I don’t know about his other written pieces but he is a writer to be read by the people who want to change their tactics either with the colleagues or people with fake faces.

PLAGI (plagiarism) - A new disease

Plagiarism
is recently observed to be a most dangerous and wide spread disease to
affect the talented people because it masks the creativity and weakens
the ability to reckon one’s hidden creativity. It also stimulates the
guilt by providing the shortcut ideas towards achieving the tasks in
much less time and hardly any serious mind usage and input in fact the
completed work seems original even one may face a tough time to guess
about its originality.

Plagiarism is still far enough to be detected but necessity is the
mother of invention so as and here internet comes to the rescue but to
some extent as there are some tools and websites available online which
may detect copying in small scale.

Round the globe this disease has not only been noticed but even the
special bodies are working against it to find out the affected people
as well as their works being recognized as original by implementing
certain measures. Those young writers who are affected by it and wants
to get rid of this then they are all strictly avoided to think over its
merits instead concentrate on your reading habits and to notice the
composition as well try to guess about the feelings and consequences
writer felt and implemented on his written piece of work by using
selective words but i can bet on it that still there would be someone
who wont be able to write good so it is better to opt for another field
as every one is not a writer.

When one fetch information about plagiarism through search engines
most of the results will be forwarding towards plagiarism done by the
students of colleges and universities and ways to detect it but
regarding Pakistan, plagiarism is thought to be a new term as being a
student of Sindh university i personally observes the positive reaction
by the teachers who prefer printed net-copied(plagiarized) material
over the text submitted by researching and consulting half a dozen
books.

I still remember my first introduction to this disease when i used
to read Urdu monthly magazines. once in a popular child magazine i saw
an apology note for a poem plagiarized by the writer nipped by the
daughter of original writer by referring cuttings of the original book
and seminar pamphlet resulting in black listing the culprit for two
years.

Writer thinks for every aspect while writing a piece in such
scenario i got stuck on a point that what would be the translation of
plagiarism in Urdu then my friend who is an amateur writer, told me.
“Plagiarism can be translated as “Adab Ki Chouri” which is quite fine
to make a concept in those minds who are totally unaware of it.”
